EXCERPT: “Under the authority of section 98 of the Firearms Act, there are 78 Firearms Officers designated by the Chief Firearms Officer of Ontario. Details related to the breakdown can be found in the attached table.” Ontario CFO FOIP Response dated Feb 21, 2019 – Received Feb 25, 2019 by Dennis R. Young
Great information to know. Too bad you didn’t ask for each province and territory, but thank Dennis. With so few per capita, especially in some big places (e.g. only 1 for all of Ottawa), it shows how small a “problem” licensed firearms owners really are.
Good point Ken. In January I filed an ATIP with the RCMP for the same information from the federal CFOs in Newfoundland and Labrador, Manitoba, Nunavut, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Northwest Territories, British Columbia, and the Yukon. Thanks for visiting my website. Dennis
