Did the RCMP Registration Nullification Letter that arrived last summer after SOR/2020-96 was proclaimed reference firearms you no longer own?
I was recently approached by a married couple who own formerly Restricted class rifles now Prohibited by the May 1st Order in Council SOR/2020-96.
The wife’s newly Prohibited rifles were listed correctly, but the husband’s list contained a rifle he no longer owned. Fortunately, he has all the transfer references from the sale to prove he no longer owns the rifle.
They’re wondering how many other people were sent letters listing firearms you no longer own.
