Are Constables to assume the citizen involved has been either shot or arrested and only the paperwork is important? I guess this is the approach needed to justify to current Firearms Act.

That response would be laughable if it weren’t so serious a matter. Hard to believe they think that is all that constables are told regarding stopping people who have/might have firearms in their possession. The stonewalling is unbelievable from a public service agency, especially one where their actions are sometimes life or death.
