What I’d love to see is Madame Guarnieri’s report concerning the poor uptake of the licensing and registration process prior to the coming into effect, and a list of recommendations to streamline the act and regulations. These were tabled in cabinet, ignored entirely, and a cabinet secrecy designation was slapped upon it to prevent Canadian’s eyes from seeing it for 50 years. Politics at its very worst — Chretien style. Shameful!
