What were the other reasons to permit people to carry?
Hi Colin: All the ATCs issued by province are in the 3 additional pages attached to my post.
Thanks, Dennis
In my restricted PAL course my instructor who was former police and peace officer said it was a judge who had sentenced a high up in organized crime. I believe he was a judge in AB or ONT.
I wonder if the one person is a Liberal MP?
Whoever it is Peter, they have friends in very high places for sure.

So, self protection is a valid reason to own a firearm.
Not according to Allan Rock in 1995 but looks like one person in Canada convinced the police in some province to issue one.

Wow. So only one person’s life in the entire country has been deemed worthy of self-defense with a firearm?!
Unless I’m reading it wrong they still wouldn’t tell you in which province, as if it would cause a danger for the individual to know what province they live in.
Right you are Ken. I’ll asked them again for the Province the permit was issued in but they did not provide it. I’ll have to let the Information Commissioner dig that out of them.
