There has been three [that I heard of] computer crashes which resulted in the LOSS of numerous records and files [ in excess of 80’000 pieces ] including licenses, registrations, etc.There have been numerous cases of CFSC Instructor/Examiners being consulted for their records or students having to prove or re-take safety courses. This would not include any info/records intentionally or arbitrarily deleted.

If it’s true that absence of proof isn’t proof of absence, it’s still a pretty terrible idea to legislate to restrict people’s freedoms on the basis that “there’s no evidence that our policy doesn’t work”.
